THE CREATIVE AND MEDIA DIPLOMA
- The Creative and Media Diploma is an exciting new qualification
- The Entry Requirement requires students to undertake a 2-day workshop on Tuesday 13 January and Wednesday 14 January 2009. It will be held at The Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre, Taunton. The workshop will be activity-based and performance-related.
- How to apply – complete the application form found in the “Download Prospectus” link or email for a copy to: info@thespacesomerset.com or telephone 01823-414168. On receiving a completed application form you will be invited to the 2-day Entry Workshop. The workshop will be activity-based and performance-related. Notifications of successful applicants will be on 2 March 2009.
- The Advanced Diploma is equivalent to 3.5 ‘A’ Levels and provides an alternative style of learning.
- Taking the Diploma will involve working in a practical environment with highly experienced course tutors and other professionals within the industry. The C and M Diploma is performance-led with plenty of variety and choice with opportunities to follow individual interests e.g. technical, stage-management, directing, performing, filming, set design, marketing, sound, and computer-assisted design in the Apple Mac design suite.
- The Creative and Media Diploma qualification is a gateway to employability in both the Creative and Media sectors and industries looking for creative people. Employers in these sectors value highly the creative, inter-personal, thinking-outside-the-box, entrepreneurial, skills which the Advanced C and M Diploma equips young people with.
- Working alongside professional practitioners throughout the UK will give students a unique insight into the creative industries as well as hands-on practical experience.
- The Creative and Media Diploma gives students relevant, transferable skills that will be welcomed by universities. The Universities have been involved in the consultation of the development of the Diplomas. The Diploma carries equivalent UCAS tariff points to ‘A’ Levels.
