THE SPACE is a state-of-the-art world-class educational facility for 16-18 year olds.

This unique purpose-built Centre will enable students to develop the creative skills which they will need to become part of a 21st Century workforce. The students will gain an Advanced Diploma, which is equivalent to 3.5 ‘A’ Levels, in Creative and Media, making them highly employable or giving them entry into Higher Education.

THE SPACE, sited next to The Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre, is a visionary 21st Century complex which includes a training theatre, performance spaces, high-tech drama and dance studios, an Apple Mac design suite and is equipped to the highest industrial specification.

In today’s knowledge economy, people are the UK’s greatest asset. At THE SPACE, individual creativity, skill and talent will be harnessed and developed through exciting projects where students will work alongside professional practitioners in the Performing Arts. As well as getting work experience at The Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre students will have access to a range of related industries. Heathfield, via its specialist Performing Arts and Vocational Status, is a nationally recognised pioneer in innovation and training in the Performing Arts. It is therefore uniquely placed to continue to blaze a trail via the introduction of this exciting and innovative post-16 opportunity, which will bring young people’s creativity to life and tap into their maximum potential.
